WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Tom Udall today announced that the Pueblo of Tesuque will be awarded $65,000 to help support their water pollution control program. The funding was awarded by the Environmental Protection Agency.
“This funding will help the Pueblo of Tesuque monitor their water system to ensure safe, usable water for the people who live there,” Udall said.
With this funding, the Pueblo will continue to do surface water sampling to determine if a more thorough watershed management program is needed to maintain water quality standards. Analysis of water samples will determine if the Pueblo water quality needs are being met and will note any changes in the condition of the water.
