Udall Thanks Press Intern for Service to Washington, D.C. Office

WASHINGTON— Today, U.S. Senator Tom Udall (D-N.M.) thanked Dana Youngentob for her work in his Washington, D.C., office as a press intern. During her year-long internship on Capitol Hill, Youngentob worked as an integral member of the press and communications team.

“Dana has been a truly dedicated and invaluable member of the Udall office. From planning legislative announcements to keeping New Mexicans informed about important issues, Dana has shown up ready to work for our communities,” said Udall. “I thank Dana for her year of service and wish her well on the next chapter of her career.”

Youngentob said she applied to work with the Udall office in order to advance her understanding of the relationship between politics and the media. She was especially excited about Udall’s longstanding commitment to environmental conservation policy.

“I’m very grateful for the opportunities I had as a member of Senator Udall’s communications team. From advancing his legislative priorities such as the Land and Water Conservation Fund, the Break Free from Plastic Pollution Act and the 30x30 Resolution to Save Nature to handling the effects of a presidential impeachment trial and a global pandemic, my time in the Senator’s office has been quite the unique learning experience,” Youngentob said. “I am especially thankful for the mentorship and support of the press team who continuously pushed me to expand my professional comfort zone while sharing their excitement and passion for New Mexico.”

Dana is currently completing her master’s degree at George Washington University’s School of Media and Public Affairs. She previously worked in New York City at a global media agency where she developed traditional and digital media plans across various U.S. markets. Dana received her bachelor’s degree from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia.
