WASHINGTON
- U.S. Senator Tom Udall (D-NM) today announced that three New Mexico airports will receive a total of $1,195,254 from the Department of Transportation Federal Aviation Administration for safety improvements.
"I'm glad to see this money going to improve regional airports throughout New Mexico," said Udall, a member of the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science and Transportation. "It's important that we keep our airports in the best condition possible to ensure that air travel is safe and efficient."
The grants were awarded to Roswell International Air Center, Four Corners Regional and Taos Regional airports.

Taos Regional - $87,754
Replacement of non-working airport beacon
Four Corners Regional - $332,500
Acquire snow removal equipment
Roswell International Air Center - $775,000
Acquire new aircraft rescue and firefighting vehicle
Total: $ 1,195,254
