You're Invited: Las Cruces Women's Career Success Conference

New Mexico's economic growth depends on the success of women. And that's why on Wednesday, May 4, I'm hosting the 2016 Women's Career Success Conference in Las Cruces to help women learn skills to enhance their careers, build their businesses and strengthen their competitiveness in the job market. With the number of women breadwinners at an all-time high, supporting women-owned businesses and women in industries across our workforce builds on New Mexico’s strengths and helps families throughout our state achieve the American dream. Women's Career Success Conference

Are you working to start your own business? Considering a career change? Looking for networking opportunities? I invite you to join me at the upcoming Women's Career Success Conference. Forward this invitation or share it on Facebook or Twitter with anyone you know who might be interested.

The conference will bring together area employers, nonprofit organizations and federal agency officials to offer career resources and training. The event is free, but space is limited.

The conference will feature:
- A credit education session hosted by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC);
- Tips for creating a resume, interviewing and landing the job;
- Stories from local business women about career and business challenges and successes;
- Financial planning, networking and communication advice;
- Lessons on how to run a successful business, including financing, money tracking, securing loans, and effective marketing.

I’m proud to partner with Arrowhead Center and organizations that work every day to build a stronger and more vibrant economy in New Mexico. As your U.S. Senator, I’ll continue working to create opportunities that help New Mexicans find well-paying jobs and make their dreams of small business ownership a reality.
