Census Forms Headed Your Way!

This month, Census forms will be delivered to every residence in New Mexico. The U.S. Census counts every resident in the United States, and is required by the Constitution to take place every 10 years. It’s simple, quick and private .

It’s also critically important to New Mexico’s economy. More than $400 billion in federal funds are distributed every year based on the outcome of the Census. That means this is our chance to reclaim the federal dollars we’ve paid into the system. Filling out your Census form will help support many important parts of communities across New Mexico like:

  • Hospitals
  • Job training centers
  • Schools
  • Senior centers
  • Bridges, tunnels and other-public works projects
  • Emergency services

So, I’m asking for two things to make sure that we get this done.

  1. Fill out the Census form when it arrives in your mail and promptly send it back.
