WASHINGTON
- U.S. Senator Tom Udall (D-NM) today announced that New Mexico will receive a series of grants totaling $944,600 for music, theatre and visual arts projects across the state.
The funding was made possible by the National Endowment for the Arts.
"The arts are an important part of New Mexico's culture, traditions, and economy. This funding will help provide creative outlets and essential support to community art projects from Las Cruces to Santa Fe, and will help build up local economies," Udall said.
Udall is a member of the Senate Cultural Caucus, which works to support the Arts and the Humanities in Congress.
Projects receiving grants are:
