Udall: ABQ Architecture Firm Awarded $3 Million Contract

WASHINGTON - U.S. Senator Tom Udall announced today that Studio Collaboration in Albuquerque will receive a $3 million contract from the General Services Administration (GSA), an agency of the U.S. Government, for architecture and design projects in New Mexico and the surrounding areas.

Studio Collaboration will receive an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract. This will allow the firm to work on various projects for GSA buildings located primarily in New Mexico.

"It's great to see the federal government contracting with Studio Collaboration to carryout important projects that allows their local small business new potential for growth and increased clientele," said Udall. "Keeping these contracts in the state is important, where they will do the most good for our economy."

"As a small firm, this is really a big deal for us - an exciting opportunity," said Sam Sterling of Studio Collaboration. "We are looking forward to working with our colleagues at the GSA!"

Formed in 2009, Studio Collaboration has seven to nine employees. Previously, it has worked on projects for University of New Mexico and Central New Mexico Community College.
