WASHINGTON -
Today, U.S. Senator Tom Udall released the following statement on the 14th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks:
"Today, we join together to reflect on the tragic events of 9/11. We remember those who lost their lives or were injured, and we honor the first responders who selflessly risked everything to save others.
"From firefighters and emergency personnel rushing to the rescue, to New Mexicans giving blood and donating money to the families of victims, our nation reacted to an act of hate by showing courage and compassion for one another. We are a nation bound together by our ideals, and we must remember that spirit of community and always uphold our commitment to support our first responders, service members, veterans and their families."
