WASHINGTON -- U.S. Senator Tom Udall, a member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, issued the following statement:
"The attacks in Paris are horrific acts of violence against innocent civilians. We all have the people of France in our hearts tonight as this situation unfolds. We stand with the French as they have stood by us in the fight against international terrorists. Together we will confront all who oppose our shared human values. I know there are many New Mexicans who are concerned about loved ones in Paris. The U.S. Embassy is working to account for all U.S. citizens in France, and family may call the U.S. State Department hotline at 1-888-407-4747 (from the U.S.) or 001-202-501-4444 (from overseas) for assistance."
