Udall Thanks Press Intern for Service To Washington, D.C. Office

WASHINGTON— Today, U.S. Senator Tom Udall (D-N.M.) thanked Georgina Burros for her work in his Washington, D.C., office as a press intern. During her tenure working on Capitol Hill, Burros worked as an integral member of the press and communications team.

“Georgina has been a dedicated and invaluable member of the Udall communications team. From planning legislative announcements to keeping New Mexicans informed about important issues, Georgina has shown up ready to work for our communities,” Udall said. “I thank Georgina for her service, congratulate her on her graduation, and wish her well as she embarks on the next chapter of her career.”

“I have deeply appreciated the opportunities I have had to learn as a member of Senator Udall's communications team. I have been able to help keep New Mexico communities informed of Senator Udall's efforts to champion conservation, including the 30x30 Resolution to Save Nature,” Burros said. “I am especially thankful to have been a part of the final group of interns in Senator Udall’s Senate office, and to receive encouraging mentorship from Senator Udall’s dedicated press team while learning about the state of New Mexico.”

Georgina is completing her Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, with a minor in International Relations at American University. Georgina previously interned for the Public Affairs Council in Brussels, Belgium, researching EU policy and communications. Georgina hopes to pursue a career in communications and public affairs in the U.S. government.
